Blue C Brings to Life Children’s Hospital of Orange County New Branding Efforts in the 2008 Annual Report Themed “Children, Our Everything”

choc_2Blue C Advertising is the first marketing partner of Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) to integrate the respected health care organization’s newest branding theme, “Children. Our Everything.” in the 2008 CHOC Annual Report. Blue C handled the creative, print and digital production duties for the project and is thrilled to have the opportunity for the 3rd consecutive year to work with one of Southern California’s best children’s hospitals. Blue C developed the annual report as a versatile piece that can be used alone or in conjunction with other CHOC collateral materials. The main objective of this year’s annual report was to highlight CHOC’s greatest accomplishments of the fiscal year through compelling narration. It was also important that the annual report delivers the message that CHOC has made concrete, tangible advances toward implementing their strategic plan and moving closer to achieving their annual goals.

Pam DeJong, CHOC Senior Marketing Specialist worked closely with Blue C’s account management team to gather personal stories of CHOC patients and families that would be used throughout the annual report. By integrating the personal stories throughout the annual report Blue C was able to convey how the generous contributions from donors are used to save lives, and improve the facilities of CHOC.

To visually capture the heartfelt nature of the “Children. Our Everything.” theme Blue C teamed up with professional world-renowned photographer Danny Zapalac to give the annual report a colorful, editorial style.

The debut of the printed version of the 2008 annual report was distributed at the October CHOC Board Meeting. A digital version of the 2008 annual report will be available through CHOC’s web site at the end of November.
